YorPower Kenya recently dispatched a 60kVA generator set coupled with an ATS panel to our local dealer, STEMA Engineering to serve as a backup power supply for a supermarket in Siaya. The backup generator and ATS panel (made by our sister company Glenace) are critical in maintaining the right temperature for fresh and frozen foods in the store. Located in South West Kenya, Siaya covers an area of 2,496.1 square kilometres. The Kenya Integrated Household Budget Survey (KIHBS) indicates that in 2019, there continues to be a high reliance on kerosene lamps in Siaya. This is indicative of slow roll-out of the rural electrification project.
