Goat Farm Chooses YorPower

St Helens Goat Farm has been goat farming in East Yorkshire for 30 years, producing a wide range of goats’ milk products that are packed fresh every day and supplied to supermarkets throughout the UK.

It is essential to the farm business that the production lines and chillers run continuously, whatever the circumstances, so the owners decided that reliance on mains power was not a sensible option. Having made the decision to invest in a backup generator to ensure that their expanding farm was never without power they naturally turned to YorPower for supply.

Following discussions and site visits the installation of a 650kVA Perkins powered back up generator was undertaken by YorPower engineers. The project includes full electrical installation, an automatic shutdown system and a bespoke fuel delivery system. Following installation the YorPower engineers conducted a full commissioning programme too.
