Cummins Back-Up Generator for World Leading Minerals Company

YorPower recently dispatched a large, 350kVA Cummins Canopied generator (YCS400RSC) to provide standby power for a world leader in mineral-based specialities.

The company possesses multiple core markets, grouping 5 different businesses around two principle segments. These two segments include performance minerals and high temperature materials and solutions. In order to obtain the types of properties the company produces, a series of conversions take place that call on multiple processes. A high volume of energy is therefore required in order for the company to produce the materials to meet the demanding needs of its’ industrial consumers. As well as producing these materials, the company has a department of geologists responsible for exploration and mining to consistently track resources. All aspects of mining and metallurgy require the presence and occasional implementation of a backup power supply – in this case the application was for the mining sector.
