Introduction

YorPower has offered synchronising solutions to the water industry for over twenty years. The Company’s Industrial Generator Division can carry out requirement interpretation and specification for generators sited at water facilities, including compliance with WIMES.

YorPower can project manage, install, commission, generators of any size. We can also supply and install peripheral equipment such as bulk storage tanks, inverters and project specific requirements.

YorPower’s Service Division provides comprehensive after-market support for generators all over the world, including numerous sets in our installed base in the UK’s Water facilities. Many of our long-established installations have used F G Wilson Generators.

Background 1825KVA Containerised Generator

This project required full synchronising with the mains using G59 relay protection, complete with HMI panel. The generator was built by FG Wilson in accordance with the specific requirements of Anglian Water, and to the WIMES specification.

YorPower’s Industrial Generator Division project managed the build, and performed the complete installation, commissioning, on-site load testing and hand-over of the generator, working with Kvaerner-Skanska.

The generator is now maintained by Yorpower’s Service division, Power Plant Services.
